My fiancee Jakob and I have been engaged for a whole month as of tomorrow. Wow, that seems crazy. We have been going through pre-marital counseling with our Associate Pastor and his wife, although we often think of them as friends we do life with that we just happen to look up to in the pastoral capacity. From session 1, it has been clear that John and Emily are going to shoot straight with us, and also be sure we don’t dip even a toe into the pool of denial before our wedding day in April regarding the difficulty, struggle, and also the beauty that marriage will be.
